Daylilies
Hello Gale, thank-you and nice to meet you! I tip my hat to you.
I’ve had a different experience with the corn field next to me. No circles are used, just big combines pulling different equipment and sprayers. The fertilizing of the field doesn't overspray into my property because they inject it into the soil, but the weed kill they apply in the spring is sprayed and HAS on occasion! Grumbling Not good! Normally they are very careful about wind direction but sometimes I guess that is not enough.
Your experience is further proof that nitrogen is something daylilies love no matter how they get it—blood meal, lawn fertilizer, or circle end gun! I will certainly be feeding my daylilies every year.
