I don't really know the best time for the daylilies at CBG, but I can at least tell you that none of my daylilies have any buds yet, so it's not very soon. CBG is close to Lake Michigan, as am I, so I think we're similarly affected by the "lake effect." I don't grow very many daylilies so I don't even keep track of when they bloom! Does anyone else here know daylily time? Perhaps the garden itself can tell you the best time in general, although I'm sure it varies some every year. Would you need to organize your trip well in advance, or could you do it with a week's notice?
