Thank you for discussing this. I tip my hat to you. We have had warm days close to 90ยบ despite the rains and flooding. The nights are down into the mid 70's. IOW, summer is fast approaching. I didn't think lack of warmth was an issue or I would have waited to cut it down. The rain, as I suspected might have been the culprit as we have received more than our share in SouthEast Texas/Houston area during the past 2-1/2 weeks with more to come. The good news is that all traces of a drought is gone in our area, the trees and landscape are green, mushrooms are sprouting, frogs and toads are happy, and the ponds are full. The bad news is the flooding but fortunately not our home, lack of sunshine, and now what looks like rot on my newly cut Riviera Rainbow. Oh, yes, and the mosquitoes. Oh! Lawdy! The mosquitoes are baaad!

Riviera Rainbow is a fast grower with her big, long strapping leaves. She always had the perfect combinations of sun, breeze and rain. So I am trying hard not to worry. The cuttings put so many smiles on my friends' faces, for that I am grateful as a sharing Plant Person. I am learning through my experience, when it is experience that I am lacking. This tree will survive with the help of ATP I know it. But it won't stop my worrying until it shows signs that what I have done, what should have worked, indeed is working.
Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love Truly, Laugh
uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you Smile.
