I did a Newbie thing. I dried off the goo with Q-tips. It it pretty deep but i dont think true rot? What do i know? But now it is dry-ish. Opting for more Gladwrap but securing it so rain won't get in. That would be a lot of candle wax. Comments? Hints? Suggestions?
