Is there something about Henri Clematis that makes it more susceptible to being chewed on by nighttime crawlers moreso than other clematis plants??? its planted along our front fence between our Jackmanii Superba and our Texensis Gravetye Beauty, both of which are THRIVING!!! but for some reason Henri is literally being DECIMATED by earwigs...? and slugs, I assume...? ALL shoots have either been chewed off at ground level or if new shoots are able to grow any length at all, the growing tips and all leaves are immediately removed. covered in slug slime and what not. the other two however? you'd never know theres a problem... thoughts?
