I developed an interest (mild, not intense) in Iris plants/flovvers a fevv years back and have been noticing any/all references to them off and on since.. My original focus vvas on 'LOUISIANA IRIS', thinking them to be sort of a bog plant more or less native to South East U.S. ...
My question; vvhat , if any, differences exist betvveen 'LOUISIANA IRIS', 'BEARDED IRIS', 'TALL BEARDED IRIS', 'INTERMEDIATE BEARDED IRIS' and vvhatever other names are out there that apply to the same plant/flovver????
Or, vvhich taxonomic category do they separate from each other?.... I don't think that question makes good sense..
I have some little understanding relative to cultivar names..
Hopefully, someone can give me some guidance on this vvithout sending me all the vvay back to a sixth grade biology class, vvhich I probably need...
Thanks in advance, Sam.....
