yep. the ground is making gulping noises..... It has not rained this morning but is due to start this evening for another round. I will not mind as long as it is not severe weather.
Jan, I had not thought of the iris roots not going deep because of lack of moisture in the soil. I know it is better to water other garden plants infrequently and deeply than often and shallow as the roots will form along the surface only. .... (am I making sense to anyone but me today?)
