The rain has been nearly non stop since noon. All the large pots in the backyard are full of water with no chance to drain. Some of the succulents have melted away.

I don't want to ever see a tornado, not even a water spout! Tornadoes all around, but not less than about ten miles from us. We were on the warning alert early this afternoon, but it veered. Now, it's the low water crossings that are closed. @Ecscuba is in Georgetown, which had a tornado touchdown.

One of our daughter's friends has a bed and breakfast in Wimberley. The town was full of tourists, campers, and folks from out of town attending three weddings yesterday. The B&B owners went back to their home to check on it and saw water coming under the door. They gathered some things and when they started downstairs, the water broke the windows on the first floor, filled the house with water and washed the stairs away. They were rescued, but the house is a goner.

(To add to our misery, there's a break in the water line at the street. Fortunately, it's on the city's side. It's bubbling up from the manhole and running onto the driveway. Our neighbor alerted us last evening. Emergency guy came out, took photos, and left. Said someone would be out on Tuesday. This morning there's spray paint of different colors with cable, gas, and other signing off that it's alright to tear up the street!)
