This is far from new, South American has similar and better for orchids style pots with holes. Lest dense clay is more breathable and drys for orchids far better! I do not know where in the states you can get them but they are freq seen in pics of SA nurseries. I believe an artist has 'improved' on an exits ting style but not practical for growers.
