Yep, 6 weeks today tobacco free, still on the wagon! Thanks so much for the support from all of you, it means so much! Loving having more physical energy, and have been very aware of increased sensitivity in smells and tastes. Also noting that I'm not bothered with muscular pain and soreness after various garden tasks.
Any of you ever grown Calchortus? I tried 3 varieties last fall from Brent and Becky's, Symphony, Golden Orb, and venustus 'Burgundy'. Symphony, a soft pink, has been blooming for a few days- pretty, but kinda small and not real noticeable among all the lush growth at this time of year. All but one venustus Burgundy was eaten by rabbits (or some other rodent), but the remaining one is a beautiful true red. Golden Orb is in bud and should start opening any day. They're interesting plants, remind me of a cross between a tulip and a poppy.
