I had green growth the following year, but no blooms. They haven't shown yet this year, so I'm guessing they're gone.
Sorry to hear about your hungry critters...seems like they're everywhere.
I'd still always choose an organic/naturalistic garden though...no matter the losses. We had a hard rain for about 20 minutes this evening and the tree frogs (among others) are presently serenading us with their happiness and joy.
