The problem is not the local grower. It's further up the chain. He should no longer trust that his supplier is going to give him disease free plants and that's not acceptable. You can't always visually spot when a plant has the virus. Sometimes plants are infected at low levels and have no visible symptoms for up to 3 years. If a seller can't be absolutely sure that the plants are disease free, I won't buy there. The sellers have to get tough with their suppliers.
