Margaret, they are hungry beasts that will eat it all! I have heard people say they prefer the bronze fennel to the green fennel, but I think they will destroy anything in their path (and in the Apiaceae family). I've picked eggs off the parsley at Home Depot (because you know most people won't appreciate them) and the only preference they have is what Momma butterfly could reach.
