Meredith, most people call me Melanie but Mellie is fine, too. I thought Gulf Frits were more common in Atlanta. Hmm...maybe they stick near the coast more than I thought? We have them here pretty much year round although their numbers do dwindle in the colder months. They've been chomping away at my passion vine but I noticed a lot of the caterpillars got that virus that "melts" them a few weeks ago so my plant actually still has leaves on it. Most of them have been chewed on, though.

Linda, the good thing about MOSI is that I can always take my surplus caterpillars there. And they're always happy to receive them. So I don't have to worry about thinning the herd, thank goodness.
