Every time I blame rabbits for that, it turns out to be ground hogs, something was nipping my asiatic type lilies off as they emerged, always saw rabbits in there so I blamed them, shortly after that I spotted a big groundhog going right down the row, nipping each one of them!
Unlike those lilies, it seems these gloriosa have no problem making fresh shoots if they get damaged.
