Just a June 2015 update. I just allowed this amaryllis to grow out its leaves, and it is done with the foliage, so it is in resting mode now. I felt the bulb to check if it is still firm..so far so good. Lifted the container to peek under, I see roots still white and thick..so it is just resting. Just going to continue it staying by our south facing window with the curtains drawn a bit. There are gel beads still mixed with the clay rocks, so there is still some moisture there for the roots.
