Tell me , are they really expecting a Hurricane or large Tropical Storm in the Gulf by week's end?! Channel 12 in Beaumont was reporting it? Confused Taken from Beaumont 12:

A hot, mainly dry weekend is forecast with rain returning next week?

Upper-level high pressure continues to build over the State of Texas this evening and will persist through the weekend. The end result for our area will be little, if any chance of rainfall with highs in the lower to middle 90's this weekend. So, if you are headed to the beach, the pool, the lake or the river remember to use sunscreen.

Early next week, increasing moisture and weakening upper-level high pressure will break down. This will allow scattered showers and thunderstorms to return to the forecast.

Late next week, we will have to ?keep an eye? on the gulf as tropical development will be possible. Much uncertainty exists on the strength and eventual track of the system. Regardless, a surge of tropical moisture will move out of the Caribbean right into Texas. This could greatly enhance our chance of heavy rainfall. So, you better enjoy this weekend, because next weekend could be wet.
Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love Truly, Laugh
uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you Smile.
