80 here today, too. wind is around 30 mph and we're supposed to get storms tonight. Brinda, thanks so much for the extras!
I lost a few plants this winter because we went down to -4 for 2 nights, and it hasn't been that cold here in 10 years. The zone 7 plants that I just put in last year are what bit the dust. I knew I was taking a chance when I put them in. We're really zone 6.
I'm stretching soaker hose out today for the areas where I'll plant the coleus. I'm putting in profusion zinnias with them--won't that be a wild dose of color! I bought some more canna tubers since all mine in the ground rotted so I might put them in as a background. Getting ahead of myself because I'm so anxious to see all these different coleus..I had first better figure out where I'm going to put all the rooting flats.
