When the pot feels significantly lighter than when just watered, that's usually a good gauge that it's dry enough to need a drink. I would encourage not misting this plant. It doesn't need it, and could result in facilitating surface pathogens. But, if you have the patience to mist the soil to moisten it, in lieu of pouring water, that's wonderful, and helps keep the soil from compacting from the force of gushing water.

If you're able to put your plant outside in the shade for summer, it would really enjoy that & almost surely grow faster during that time than while inside.
