I had a friend visit from another area a few years ago and we had noted that I said puh-cahns and she said pee-cans. I did not think any more about it until we were touring some gardens and she noticed some pecan trees loaded with nuts. She said quite happily 'would you just look at the lovely pee-can trees just loaded with puh-cahns'. ....had to laugh.
Thro' all the tumult and the strife I hear the music ringing; It finds an echo in my soul— How can I keep from singing?
