I love those beautiful large birds! Mostly the very large birds we see around here are the Turkey Vultures!
mellielong said:I was really surprised the Ibis didn't fly off. I came barreling out the side door of the garage and took several steps before I noticed it. It was cool, though. I headed over to the butterfly garden to pick caterpillar food and he stayed in the lawn section, hopefully eating non-caterpillar insects. There were some bromeliads behind him so hopefully he managed to fish out any invasive Cuban Tree Frogs. I've got to get me a Sandhill Crane trained to eat those suckers. I saw one do it a few weeks ago but I interrupted him by accident. Still killed the frog, though.
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White
Integrity can never be taken. It can only be given, and I wasn't going to give it up to these people. Gary Mowad
