Claudia and Frilly - The thrips here this year are gigantic in size, compared to past years. And they seem to be immune to the systemic I put on my reds and purples three weeks ago. They're also attacking cultivars that were never bothered by thrips in the past. I bought more bug spray today and have an order of Captain Jack's Bug Dead Brew on the way.

Also Frilly, a high percentage of my evergreen and semievergreen daylilies have shorter scapes than usual. The dormants have gigantic foliage and taller scapes than normal. I assume this is the result of a harsh winter and teeter totter temperatures this Spring.
