I have the strangest question and this is way over my head.......
Will use the Regale lily since that is the one that mentioned by the scientist today that is studying my tulip tree out here.....
he said that if you have 2 speices and they cross pollinate the seeds will be more stronger and also will be more of them in the seed pod.....then if say the lily or tree was just pollinated by a bee say........
so he means you cross pollinate the 2 plants yourself......

the tulip tree can self seed itself........the same as the Regale..........he kept referring to the lily since the lily is at my house when he was here today.......

what they are trying to do is produce as many viable seeds as possible from the tulip tree. It does not put out viable seeds until it is 50 years old, it gets pods but they are aborted and dropped.........
where as the regale has a good chance of having really good success but he claims far better success if you have 2 plants....

are there are other lilies that produce viable seeds without another lily since the same as the Regale.......??

so lets hear some views on this from the experts.......
and we have lots of them on this board.......
