Sometimes mosquitoes breed in guttering that doesn't drain completely. They also breed UNDER house in the crawl space if you get water puddled in there after a rain, some older homes do.
Cellars, flower pot saucers, and even water drains along the streets in front of houses stay damp and breed them.
