Usually, yes. But, this years weather has been so completely crazy I have no clue what the rest of the summer will be like.
The thought of having to go out and hand pick every single leaf off the roses is killing me !
Since we really didn't have a "winter" this year, everything is out of whack in the garden. The roses were only "dormant" for less than 3 weeks. I did my usual pruning on New Years Day and three weeks later they were sprouting. They just didn't get the rest they need. They were in glorious full bloom in March. Now: Nothing but rust. They've done absolutely nothing for 3 months. SO discouraging.
Add to that the watering restrictions here. NOT at pretty picture at all.
