Dear Dave, thank you for you comments and support. It has spurred me on to newer and better things!
A friend told me he was surprised to see a picture of my wife and my lupin picture on the BBC Chelsea page, so was I.
So I had a look and sure enough there was my wife on the first page with the Delphiniums behind her at Chelsea and my Lupin picture, with my name on as well. Shock being on the BBC!
I cannot remember putting these on, and my friend was searching for cubits and my Chelsea Article here is the url for the BBC. http://www.bbc.co.uk/chelsea/p...
Going out this morning my mothers friend also has tree ferns, but hers have suffered over the winter. So it was great to see a new frond in the process of unfurling, an amazing sight!
So for Trish and your goodself here is a Dicksonia antarctica with its first frond, all other leaves having been lost.
It is like the Dawn of Time seeing this. To watch one is awe inspiring as there are fossils of these over 150 million years old.
Regards.
Neil.
