Dog Lover Celebrating Gardening: 2015 Plant Identifier
There are several species of red maple, but it's the Common names. the main Acer rubrum, has the very drop of leaves, must be red flowers, blunt leaf without tips.
Here I have my doubts about the half leaves :
Red Maple (Acer rubrum)

by someone is the main character of red leaves, It is nonsense, 95% acer at least has red leaves in the fall nodding

http://garden.org/plants/searc...

Acer rubrum is a North American endemit plant
look at the link some universities or BG

an example of the variability
There are male and female trees, but also bisexual - both male and female flowers on the one tree, but on the each other branch
