Beautiful scenes and flower photos. I think my favorite is the red Fuchsia.
I went shopping early this spring for some Louisiana Yellow flag Iris, but what I ended up with were what is commonly called "Walking Iris" , they were just signed and labeled as"Louisiana Iris".
Here is a link to an article showing some of the different Iris plants in Louisiana. They have a hot humid climate similar to what we have here and I thought the Yellow Flag Iris would be great down in the bog area. I did find out also that there are several different plants called 'Walking Iris". I planted mine in the full sun and it scalded them, now the are in the shade but even after several months have not fully recovered. They are in a very dry spot, next to an oak, I think that is the problem now. I need to remember to water them more often. Hmmm...I just remembered I did plant one in the shade near the big fountain in the back, it has been swallowed up by the ferns growing there and I forgot all about it. I need to check and see how long a walk it has been for!
