They really don't need to be hanging, I've seen a couple of beauties trailing about on the ground and I think there's one in the rock garden and succulent area at Selby.

If I did that with mine, I'm sure it would bite me, though! Mine is hanging, and they do make really nice basket plants since they tend to trail downwards anyway. Mine is still pretty young and its trailing arms reach out and grab passers-by at times . . . Big Grin

They just do need really fast-draining medium and as Elfie said, lots of air movement in our humid weather is good. They feed more through the leaves than the roots, just like orchids. So I think spraying the fert is more effective than pouring it through the medium.
