Cinta, bromeliads are pretty tough plants. As long as you keep water in their "cup" in the center, the pot could dry up and they'd be fine. It's good to flush out the cup every once in a while to get rid of accumulated salts, etc. The only sure way that I know to quickly kill a bromeliad is a copper overdose. The white striped one in the back is Aechmea fasciata, and it makes a spectacular pink flower.
