I really like the tall, more etheral daylilies; the newer shorter "fuller" blooms are pretty, but not for my garden. I've got some truly lovely old "Hyperion" (very tall yellow; lovely fragrance)...a friend sent roots to me from his grandfather's garden in Mississippi. We are not sure if these are the "Lemon Lily" or not, but think it might be safer to call them "Hyperion." These are the kind I love...like the "wild" H. fulva, I love to see them nod and dance in the wind.
I am not "country" I am "landed gentry."
