Well - here is what I can tell you. The cuttings we planted in the rock wall are doing great. The "clumps" that had roots died out about 90% and now are coming back and showing life. The sedum in question looked like this 2 weeks ago and is now REALLY flowering on my personal rock wall (not the water towers wall).
So we are only using cuttings now and watering twice a week until they can fend for themselves.
