Leslie, many but not all, hostas will change colour during the season. Some take awhile to get to their characteristic colour after they emerge. For instance, the margins on 'Paul's Glory' have darkened considerably in the last couple of weeks. 'On Stage' emerges with near-white leaf centres which gradually darken during the season. 'Ghost Spirit' is another in which the leaves often emerge with near-white centres and mist up during the season. This year, they emerged misty. Most of the others posted above don't change much at all except they all lose the very fresh green that they have when newly emerged.
