Nice innovation and re-purposing!

You might have the smallest and least expensive self-watering pots known to gardeners.

I save 2-liter bottles from work, but only those with straight sides.

Part of that plan is to have lots of free pots by the time I retire, so I can give away plants without giving away my pots.

Have you ever seen photos of those "walls of flying soda bottles"? They hang wires down from some strong horizontal beam, and use them to support lots and lots of 2-liter bottles / flower pots lying on their sides, with an opening cut from the upper side.
