Thanks, Paul. I think I struck it lucky with this one. Some years the slugs get after it a bit later in the season. (I'm anticipating that the slugs will have a real feast when I'm traveling in July this year). But it's immediately south of my oak tree, fairly close to my next door neighbour's driveway on the east and the street to the south. As a result it gets some morning sun until the sun get high enough that it is shaded by the oak.
