Dear Cherie, thank you for your most kind comments! The Articles my way, do take a lot of work as you say. But it is worth all of it when someone does appreciate it!
We do have a lot of Parks in the UK, every area has there own in fact. They are all free and are much used and loved. Because they were given to the people and are owned by the people in a sense (apart from Royal ones), they cannot be sold or built on. They are extensively used by everyone and are busy most of the time, especially with mothers taking their children to the Park.
Nearly every Park has sports fields of some sort, large grass areas and flower\shrub beds.
I know they are probably not as big as you have in the US, but at 350 acres that is big enough to walk a young child around. We have 1,471 Parks in London alone.
It is hard to think that the pictures you see are in the center of London, all the buildings have to go around the Parks.
Regards and Hugs.
Neil.
