We were 106 yesterday, and it's very humid here today -- totally unusual! We usually have very low humidity, which is one of the reasons I think I have so much trouble setting seeds. I will go for weeks with nothing taking, and then suddenly for one week nearly everything will take -- and I usually have no clue what the difference is. So I've been watching the temps this year, and I've had much more success this time around. But ever since we returned from vacation on the 24th it's been over 100 every day, and totally dry until the dew point raised up above 50 yesterday and the humidity arrived -- but only a few drops of rain this morning, of course! And because of our drought restrictions I can only water three days a week -- and the daylilies growing in the ground are NOT happy!
Ashton, are you in a more humid area of Oklahoma , or in the drier area? I'm thinking our hot, dry climate makes quite a difference here, no matter how early I get out there.
