Nah, doesn't have to be pretty Sandy. The beauty is in the inside! Sometimes if you try to peel too many layers you risk exposing the cloves and that's not good. Some of mine are like that just because they grew like that. Anyone who knows anything about garlic won't pick those kind. We usually keep those for ourselves.
