Edited to add Happy 4th of July. I meant to do that.

Fireworks! The form of UFs and spiders remind me of fireworks. I thought of that while taking some photos of the blooms this morning. None remind me more of a dazzling explosion in the sky than Serge Rigaud. It has been outstanding this year. It's winding down now, but it's been blooming since May 27. It had the tallest, strongest scapes of any daylily this year and these huge pinwheel blooms managed the windy days really well. I've posted it before, but here it is today. Gonna miss it when it stops blooming.

3 photos of a new one using the camera differently, natural light, bright sun camera setting and the bright sun setting using the flash. This is Santa's Pants and it has a bit of green fire in the throat.

Another new one is Heavenly Pink Twister. One bloom got tangled up with Galaxy Explosion.
