I have two lilies from my mom's garden that look identical except one is dark red--or was dark red in a shadier part of my mom's garden before I dug it up, stuck it in a trunk for 8 hours, then planted it and heavily watered it--and the other is bright orange. Same faint, obscure freckles in the throat and solid color throughout on both. The color on the red is a little darker in person (and was even darker in my mom's shadier garden).

I gave them to someone who is going to see about hybridizing them and I would like to give her the cultivar name, if possible, but I don't know anything about actual lilies (except that they are poisonous).

They were likely put in by the previous owner, which would mean a landscaper put them in and they are probably a somewhat common variety, if that helps.

Thank you for any help you can give!
