Around 9:30am this morning I went around taking pictures of my daylilies to see how they fared after the very rainy (/cloudy) morning. Here are the daylilies that were budding this morning and whether they passed or were a "Rainy Wreck":

**************Passed the Test***************

Symphony of Fire
Thumb of 2015-07-09/DogsNDaylilies/76d1ca
A Little bit of a later riser, but wakes up on the right side of the bed on rainy days! She likes her beauty sleep, I guess, but at least it works for her!

Ruby Spider

She still sparkles and shines in the rain. A huge gem in my garden, pun intended.

Spider Man
Thumb of 2015-07-09/DogsNDaylilies/f6ee85
Still weaves a web of intrigue on gloomy days. His uniform is as red as ever--I guess his aunt uses Tide color-safe. ;)

Palace Guard
Thumb of 2015-07-09/DogsNDaylilies/04c928
Just like the guards at Buckingham Palace, he stands steadfast despite the rain, looking handsome in his red uniform. I think even the queen would be proud!

Seedling 1 (Garden Name: "Becky's Curls")

She clearly did her makeup before curling her hair this morning. Gorgeous color, but the petals are still straight at this hour.

Seedling 2:

What more can I say, she looks great, no rainy doldrums here.

Olallie Keith Stone's Sunset
Thumb of 2015-07-09/DogsNDaylilies/ce9f30
Rainy red riser for this guy. He likes to pop out of bed with a ruddy face. Maybe he's just embarrassed that he gets up at sunrise when he's supposed to be the sunset?

Pardon Me
Thumb of 2015-07-09/DogsNDaylilies/bd4664
He has nothing to excuse himself for, he's looking a handsome red this morning...unless he's just toasty from 'heavy drinking' last night. Either way, this little nocturnal knockout is a delight.

St Elmo's Fire?
[No Picture]
It looked like the rain doused this guy's fire, but since I couldn't be 100% that the blossom wasn't just a spent blossom half clinging on to life from yesterday, I'm not adding it officially with a picture and this one gets a question mark.

************Rainy Wrecks!***************

Funny Valentine (I currently have 2)

This guy is looking a little...well, funny. Splotchy tepals aren't so attractive, Valentine.

So Many Stars
Thumb of 2015-07-09/DogsNDaylilies/0eaec8
The Stars were not shining this morning! It's a little tough to see in this picture, but SMS was putting out an SOS after its petals started to wither and get mushy in the rain.

Starman's Quest
Thumb of 2015-07-09/DogsNDaylilies/3f14df
This guy looked to the 'stars' on his quest for beauty, but maybe he should have stayed home and taken his cue from the 'sunset' instead. Either way, things are getting a little mushy with this guy.

Seedling 3
Thumb of 2015-07-09/DogsNDaylilies/da9da4
Yeah, just....I don't even know. Look the other way, this poor thing either wasn't ready for rain or wasn't ready for life.
