I want to brag on 1 of 2 of my seedlings (one hasn't re-bloomed yet). This one bloomed for the very first time on 4/23. It re-bloomed on 5/21. And then just bloomed again today! This current re-bloom scape only has two buds. It did have two scapes, but when the scapes were very small and developing, I decided to amend the raised bed it is in and dug all my seedlings up in that area, amended the soil, and replanted them all. Yeah .... in this heatwave in Florida!!! What was I thinking???? I lost 2 seedling doing that. (What an idiot I am.) Because I work, I have limited time to do such things and had a week off and thought ... OH! let's amend and replant in that raised bed! Rolling my eyes. Rolling my eyes. Rolling my eyes.

So .... talk about a real trooper .... this seedling has taken a tremendous amount of abuse and still produced a re-bloom scape!!! It has 2 small fans. Unbelievable!!! So I have to brag on the toughness and determination of this plant.

Here is the bloom taken at 4:30 pm. It's looking pretty faded and starting to wilt, but none-the-less ... standing it's ground. I can just imagine what this plant might be able to do in perfect growing conditions! Whistling Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious!

This photo is showing the 2 small fans and short scape (which I am sure the stress I put it through added to the stunted growth!!!):

This is basically what the bloom looked like this morning, but I did not have time to get a photo. This is a photo taken during the earlier bloom time this Spring:

My other dilemma with this seedling is it's parentage. It is either "Drink the Light x Saved by the Queen" or "Carolina June Bug x unknown". It appears to have a trace of teeth so perhaps neither of those possibilities are where this seedling came from. Whistling Confused
