Our peas shown here, are not quite ready to pick--we wait until they are about 4 inches long, these are only around 2 and 1/2 inches in length.---give these just a couple more days, and they will be perfect: succulent and sweet, just as advertised by Burpee, and they will easily snap off using my fingernail.
We find that their tenderness is intensified when steamed for a couple of minutes, then cooled, before eating.~~~Penny
