Lee-Roy, I just found this thread. I am BLOWN AWAY by what you have done...this is absolutely amazing!!!!
I traveled to Kessel-lo, Belgium recently and was impressed to see that all the homes are constructed of brick and stone. Very sturdy and beautiful. And the yards are generally quite small. You have packed a lot into what you have. It will be fabulous when it is done, and also easy to maintain because of the good design and materials. You might say you are a novice gardener, but you and your partner are certainly not novice designers, landscapers, or builders!
I hope your partner is recovering...a broken leg is no fun at all. We take walking for granted until we can't do it.
