I grow many hybrid monarda in addition to several species and the native plant. You can easily identify any plant as a monarda by the oregano like scent of the leaves which are opposite each other and the square stems. Deer and other critters leave them alone! However, butterflies and moths (especially the day flying Hummingbird Clear Wings) love the flowers.
