Azaleas here do fine with daily heavy rain in the 1 to 2in range, (when it rains here, it really comes down like a fire hose) as long as there is good drainage. So that should not be what is making it wilt. They love heat and humidity.

Try misting the leaves with the hose whenever you walk by it for a while and see if that perks it up.
