I am a lover of purslane first, so I know a little more about it than portulaca . Same family but different blooms and leaves as you know.

Once I had pink purslane and white in two near by pots. The bees had fun pollinating and soon blooms on a single stem had both colors. This was BEFORE DIGITAL CAMERAS. I hope to find the hard copy photo to share. One petal was even split down the middle with pink and white. Amazing!
