All my (intense) reds, Scott Pratt, Malaysian Red, and Rose Red are all well-leafed out, but none have any inflo. yet. Heck, all my plants are well-leafed. We had a cold and wet late winter/early spring, and I was 2-3 weeks late in getting my completely dormant plants outside. After they begin forming leaves I begin my fertilization with 20-20-20 water soluble fertilizer as well as Osmacote slow release. In mid-June, for those that are really well-leafed, I then will switch to a water soluble "bloom" fertilizer, something like 10-30-20 or 8-50-15 (depends on what I have on hand). Thus at this point, my plants are still getting that slow release whenever watered/rained on plus the bloom fertilizer every 3-4 weeks.

I have Celadine, Vera Cruz Rose, Slaughter Pink, Jack's Compact Yellow, and Mendy #5 in bloom and several more varieties with inflo. but no flowers yet. I tend to be a couple of months behind those in S. Florida. It really sets me back having to bring all mine inside from November through February (often through March) and forcing full-dormancy for those 4-5 months.

The reason it's so hard to lose weight when you get up in age is because your body and your fat have become good friends.
