I almost forgot to mention something else that I am doing ....

I like to do some hybridizing with daylilies (naturally I would pick those!) and I will put a "specific color" dot of paint on the handle of the knife that is sticking up from the ground and easily viewable.

You can use any color of paint, but I use blue paint for diploids and green paint for tetraploids. That way when I am crossing the blooms on each plant, I know which plants to cross to ensure a higher success rate. It just takes a small dot of paint on the knife handle!

Thumbs up
What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters, compared to what lies within us.
