For me this year the blooms on this one are around 4.5” and the scape height is around 28”-32”. I didn't do a count yet but it is absolutely loaded with blooms. Quite sure it is a dormant. Guessing it is a tet but don’t know for sure. Purchased from Lowes a few years ago so I would suspect that it is a fairly common cultivar.

Since it is one of the few established plants that I have I set a few pods on it this summer. Would really like to know what this soon-to-be-parent is!

I’ve tried searching. Grumbling If I select the daylily database and do a search, it brings up search fields that are for all plants! Hilarious! By my count it brings up over 30 search fields that are completely useless for searching daylilies! Hilarious!

I can search for daylilies with a “Plant Habit” of “Tree”, or a “Fruiting Time” of “Year Round” Hilarious! . My favorite is “Miscellaneous” where I can select to search for daylilies that are “Carnivorous”! Rolling on the floor laughing

Even using the relevant fields, trying to identify one specific daylily is almost impossible. The “Flower Color” field (you checkmark the color you want to search for) is useless. For example, I did a search of “Foliage type: Dormant, Bloom Form: Single Flower, Color: Red” and got only 1 match! Hilarious!

I typed in “Red” to the “Color description” field and got thousands of results, so that is the field to use.

Of course I can’t know for sure what words are in the database for the color description field so I may not get some red flowers matched if they are described as “crimson”, for example.

Plus the color in the color description could be describing any part of the bloom, so if I’m looking for a daylily with a lavender self I could get all kinds of matches I don’t want-- like ones white ones with lavender midribs.

So can I search your minds-- does anyone recognize this daylily? Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
